Studies have shown that breastfeeding moms sleep more and have less prevalence of Postpartum Depression than moms who formula feed or those who mix breastfeeding with supplementing formula. Getting more sleep at night, leads to more daily energy and better overall health. Every time you breastfeed a baby, you release oxytocin which leads to the loving feeling towards your baby and it also helps you relax and fall to sleep quicker. You don't need to get up to warm and make a bottle either. Co-sleeping with your baby makes things even more convenient. Instead of getting up, you simply lie down and breastfeed. The closeness of baby with his mommy also leads him to sleep better and in return you get more sleep.
